Day Twelve: What You Want and What You Need Aren't Always the Same Thing
Today I went through a bad break up with a friend. It needed to happen.
But, today when I was at my complete lowest my 2 friends were the best.
One of them talked to me and encouraged me and knew it was the best thing for me. :)
The other one actually came over, even though she could only come for 10 minutes, just to talk to me and give me a custard-filled long John. :)
They put in the effort because they loved me and cared about how I was feeling. I couldn't have loved them more for doing it for me. So, Love to friend who support you through very hard decisions. :)

Day Ten: Not doing so good at this....
Sorry guys! I didn't realize how much work is involved in running a daily blog! Half the time I forget to check the e-mail and then by the end of the day I don't even remember to post. Never fear though faithful ones, I am still going to post! Thought it might be a little erratic. haha Now, onto today's actual post.
Little things that pushed today from "a good day" to "best day ever" material.
1. Made character wallpapers for a friend and he loved them. :)
2. Showed a friend a new story I'm writing and she loved it and wants more. :)
3. Had an ABBA sing-along (gimmie, gimmie, gimmie a man after midnight) with an Author (whom I love!) on Twitter. :)
4. It's summer and I have done absolutely nothing all day.
5. Everyone today has been nice and in a good mood.

Day Nine: An Apology and Our First Story!
Hello all, sorry I haven't posted in a while. It has just been so busy around here! Now though, we can get back to business with our first story! From another person! :)
"I work at a place that helps people who are homeless because when they get sick or injured they need a place to go to recover safely. Well yesterday a middle aged black woman who is approaching the last stages of AIDS was being discharged from our facility because she tried to take narcotic pain pills without us knowing about it. Before this I had been talking with a new resident who is a middle aged white woman who is recovering from 3 broken bones she received in a recent abusive relationship, she had been telling me about how sad and depressed she was, how she missed her children and was very emotional crying as she was talking to me. After the first woman had left this other woman came to me smiling from ear to ear, and when I asked her what had happened she said that this woman before she left had slipped her a $5 bill and told her not to tell anyone.
This just amazed me. To explain better I should say that these people have very little or NO money and are usually not inclined to help each other out. From living on the streets for years they quickly adopt a mentality of "survival of the fittest" and "I have to take care of myself only because no one else will". So when this woman told me what had happened I was blown away. These two women had known each other less than 24 hours and the woman who was being discharged had no where to go, she was still very sick but was being discharged for noncompliance with our rules. Yet she saw the hurt in this woman, knew that she felt like no one cared about her, knew that she was alone...and reached out to her. That may have been the last $5 she had, no one knows, yet she was selfless enough to give it away. So often in these people we see nothing but selfishness, the compassion this woman had was a nice change! These two women will probably never see each other again, but it is indescribable how much they impacted each other's lives."

Day six, seven and eight:: 3 Days Worth of Love
Hello All,
Sorry I haven't been on in 3 days. It's just been so busy over here! But now, I am making up for it with a post of 3 Days worth of Love. Enjoy!
Tuesday:
When going to a friends house, I got to see her 3 pets. Her cat, Tigger, her kitten, Tucker, and her dog Bear. I love all of her animals, the kitten snuggled and loved on me, the cat rubbed my feet with his head and the dog gave me bruises from trying to jump on me and love me too hard. (He's a massive dog, don't know what he is, I think a lab?) Isn't it wonderful how animals just love unconditionally? I know a few people who could benefit from that ability. :)
Oh and THANKS MY FRIEND FOR LETTING ME SLEEP-OVER! I LOVE YOU TOO, MORE THAN YOUR PETS! (but only a little more ;) )
Wednesday:
I graduated! I had 4 of my friends there (ones who weren't in the ceremony) and my family. I was surrounded by love. Everyone was so nice and happy for me, even the people on facebook. I felt very proud of myself for graduating. It meant a lot because my some of my family wasn' t there to see it. My grandfather for instance is deceased, but I knew if he had been there, he would've been just as proud of me as he could. I missed him and everyone else, but it was still a very special event. We had fireworks in the arena and got to go to red lobster after. Then we went to Project Grad and had a blast. Everything just combined into an awesome, beautiful memory.
Love to making new and love-filled memories!
Thursday:
Today is a day of resting and new possibilities. I am exhausted from walking all night and swimming, so I am taking a rest. But I am thinking of the rest of my summer and planning to make it one of the happiest. Like going to a beach house for fri-mon (which will result in another 3 days of love post) for an "end of youth group" extravaganza. I am beyond excited about it. Not to mention, I might be dying my hair soon. :)
Love to finales and new beginnings and being absolutely overwhelmed. Love to everyone!

Day five: V for Vendetta
I love the movie V for Vendetta. I think it is one of the best movies ever created. Mainly for this one part where Evey (main character) is reading a sort of Biography by Valerie who died many years earlier. And one part of the letter has always stood out to me.

Day four: A Little Late and a Little Reminiscent
Hey guys, sorry about the late post. It is currently 1:45am and I am supposed to be getting up in five hours.
So, today's little love nugget is one of my favorite memories.
I was staying in a beach house with my Youth group and we were all sitting around the living room sharing poems, stories and our writings. One of my friends decided she would read a poem that was very dear to her. Normally, this wouldn't be anything remarkable except her poem was written in Elvish. (She's a big Tolkien fan.) She told everyone this and before she could even get out a syllable, my other friends mom started laughing. I mean his mom was just dying, red-faced, belly cramping, full on ab work out laughing at the word Elvish for no reason.
Of course, my guy friend's mom like never laughs, so this was hilarious to all of us. Everyone in my youth group sat on the floor or on a couch and just laughed like there was no tomorrow. I remember thinking "This is one of the best days of my life, I need to remember this." So far, I have. But you know, immortalizing it doesn't hurt. :)
Just wanted to show my love for the feeling of real, true and happy memories. That is all for today. :)

Day three: Like Sunshine on a Cloudy Day...
So, whenever I have a really bad day I always look for one friend online. We've been friends since 7th grade and she never fails to make me feel better. It doesn't matter what it is. I can be fighting with someone, feeling bad, being sick, or just plain sad and she'll turn it around. She really is like sunshine on a cloudy day to me. Not to mention with her tan, amazing body and blond hair she looks like a sun child. Making everyone feel good is her specialty and I for one am very happy that she is going to be a doctor. Patients need a bright pool of sunshine like her.

Day two: Love in a Cici's Pizza
Today I was having dinner with my friend's family at Cici's Pizza. Me, my friend and another friend were sitting on one side of the tables. On the other end were her parents, her sister and her sister's boyfriend.
At one point during the meal, I looked in front of me, seeing the sister and boyfriend smooching like no one was watching. 10 minutes later I looked up and saw the parents do the exact same thing, looking every bit as in love as their daughter.
It's episodes like that which make me believe people can love someone for a lifetime.

Day one: One date and 25 years later
Alright guys, here is your first love story. This one is about my parents and how they got engaged.
4 months. That's how long it took for my parents to fall in love and become engaged. They met at Mensa, barely speaking two words to each other for a long time. It wasn't enough for my mom. She started playing bridge with him and some of her friends, because she was too shy to talk to him on her own. In the meantime my Aunt was working on my dad, telling him (barely knowing my mom) that "I could see you marrying her."
January of the next year my mother's apartment building caught fire and she had to move her things. My dad and some other friends came over to help her. He met my grandparents for the first time that night. My grandma teased my mom about the nice quiet guy who "looked like a boyfriend." My dad asked her out that night on their first and only date.
The next weekend, one of my dad's friends asked my mom out. It was Sunday. That Monday my dad came over with a dozen roses and told my mom he loved her. Tuesday he proposed to her. She was utterly flabbergasted. My dad is not an open, flirty guy, his actions are always much louder than his words.
She asked for a week to think about it.
She didn't make it that long. The next Sunday she took a crazy, stupid, totally un-guaranteed chance and told him yes.
They've made it work for almost 25 years. :)
My dad eventually went to my aunt's house to tell her of the engagement. All he said was "If this was Salem, They'd burn you as a witch." He later told my mom that my aunt had levitated almost 4 feet in the air, right up to the ceiling, yelling and hollering the entire way.
And that is how my mom and dad got engaged.

Hi,
In the place where I live, I've noticed how a lot less love is going around. Whether it's in how people deal with acquaintances, friends their family or themselves. No one appears to feel the love anymore. So, I've decided to change that in my own little way. I created this blog to remind people that they are loved, that love still exists in the world and that no one is undeserving of love. All 365 days of the year.
How this will work is, everyday I will post a story, picture, love letter or little quote to show the love. Hopefully, by getting this blog out all of you will begin sending in your own stories or letters or comments which will be posted on here.
There are a lot of good love stories out there. You just have to ask to hear them. So, here I am, asking all of you to please share your stories with me. It doesn't have to be about a spouse or boyfriend/crush, you can talk about your mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, step-siblings, your friends, even your pets if you like. It can be happy or sad, long or short, yours or another person's. Just so long as you show the love. :)
